FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES-HEALTH CARE SUPPORT WORKER
We are searching for exceptional Health Care Support Workers who are passionate and experienced in caring for children and young people and take pride in their role. The hospice is a unique working environment; it stretches a person in many ways. We are looking for individuals who, at their core, are kind, proactive and take the positives from any given situation.
We recognise that working in a Children’s hospice is very different to that of the NHS and sometimes applicants are not sure which role best suits their experience. We hold Claire House values central to our recruitment process. Therefore, shortlisted candidates are invited to spend the day at Claire House. This day consists of; having a tour of the hospice, spending time with peers to find out more about the roles, having time to ask questions in a more relaxed environment. There are also short interviews, for which, each candidate will have time to consider the questions and reflect on their experiences to support their answers.
We offer additional payment for working regular weekends and nights. You can also continue with your NHS superannuation scheme or join the Claire House pension scheme.
Please note this post will commence 1st July 2019
NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a health related area. Clinical experience of caring for children and young people with complex health needs is desirable, however full training will be provided.
