Transport is a vital service which supports the care team and Claire House families, through transporting Claire House Children and Young People between the Hospice and their family home for planned respite. The Claire House Children and Young People participate in numerous and various day trips organised by Claire House. The Hospice utilises volunteers to drive the minibus on these occasions to enable the activity to run smoothly.
- Drive the Claire House minibus to transport children and young people to and from the Hospice for planned respite
- Drive the Claire House minibus to transport children and young people to and from the Hospice for planned activities and outings
- Ensure the minibus is safe and roadworthy prior to each journey
- Ensure the safety of each passenger, supporting the care team escort
You will need to be over 21 years old and under 70 years old whilst holding a full UK driving licence (proof required). Before commencing in this role, you will undertake MIDAS Training Course which Claire House will cover. Volunteers will be supported by a member of staff at all times.
