Training and Development
At Claire House we want to employ engaged, talented, high performing people who love coming into work and making a difference to the lives of the children, young adults and families visiting the Hospice.
We take the development of our people very seriously. We want good people to stay with us and know they will have the opportunity to develop their skills and further their career.
We want to ensure that we have people with the right knowledge, skills and experience to deliver our objectives, both now and in the future. We will aim to develop a learning culture where staff take responsibility for their own development, supported by investment in development opportunities and underpinned by our annual appraisal process.
We have a range of training opportunities available for staff including a thorough and effective induction and onboarding process to ensure that you can make the best start possible in your role, a calendar of internal training events throughout the year, online learning, access to external training and apprenticeships.
Your development needs will be discussed with you during your induction and probationary period, then at regular one to ones with your line manager and your annual appraisal.
