At Claire House, we help seriously and terminally ill babies, children and young people live life to the fullest. Behind every family we support is an incredible team making it all happen — and our reception and admin teams are right at the heart of it.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and extremely organised Reception & Supporter Administrator to join our brand‑new centralised admin team. If you love variety, community spirit, and making people feel welcome, this could be your perfect role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Be the friendly face of Claire House

· Deliver a warm, professional welcome to families, supporters and visitors.

· Keep our reception running smoothly and support our brilliant reception volunteers.

Keep our operations ticking

· Handle calls, emails, visitor logs, and general enquiries.

Support fundraising, retail & volunteering activities

· Provide admin support for campaigns, events and donation processes.

· Maintain accurate CRM records and help ensure supporters receive timely communications.

Help our retail team shine

· Assist with shop paperwork, utilities data, marketing tasks, and monthly reporting.

Champion our volunteers

· Coordinate volunteer applications, onboarding, records, and communications. Work closely with colleagues to make sure volunteers feel valued and empowered.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

* Welcoming, positive, and great with people

* Extremely organised and able to juggle multiple tasks

* Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems

* A team player who enjoys supporting others

* Happy to work flexibly and adapt to new ways of working

* Passionate about making a real impact through excellent service

Experience in admin, reception, charity or customer‑facing roles is advantageous, but most importantly we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, can do approach and comfortable in a forward facing role.

We are open to flexible working arrangements. This includes part time hours, job share partnerships, or other forms of flexible working. Please tell us what flexibility you’re looking for — we’d love to explore it with you.
