About the event
Date
Sunday 23rd June
Location
Birkenhead Park
The Claire Bear 3K is the perfect event for little legs to run, walk or scoot the 3K route and raise money for their local children’s hospice.
This isn’t a race; it’s a community fun run for families to get together, be active and support a charity that cares for seriously and terminally ill children.
2023 was the first year that we held the Claire Bear 3K in Birkenhead Park and 350 children raised over £20,000 for Claire House.
This year, we want 700 children taking part, with an aim to raise £40,000 for Claire House.
Event Highlights
- Community fun run
- Local families in attendance
- 700+ children taking part
- £6 per child to enter
Who is the audience?
The main audience taking part are children aged 3 – 11. The accompanying adults signing up are generally women, aged 25-40. This is a local audience, some who may have a connection to the charity or are just looking for a fun, accessible event to do as a family.
Why is the event important?
Children in the local community love to support Claire House and it’s amazing when local children support other children in their community who may be seriously or terminally ill, or who may be a bereaved brother or sister. The Claire Bear 3k is an opportunity for children to get active and support a cause that is important to them.
